Rabat – In the latest grim updates on Israel’s devastating war on Gaza, Israel’s Occupation Forces (IOF) have killed at least 72 Palestinians in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of civilians massacred to 31,184 since October 7.

According to the Health Ministry in Gaza, the IOF attacks have additionally left 129 injured in the last 24 hours.  The total number of injured mounted to 72,889 as of today.

The death toll from malnutrition and dehydration in Gaza has jumped to 27.

Israel’s massacres continue despite the holy month of Ramadan, which commenced yesterday.

One of Israel’s latest massacres killed dozens of civilians waiting for humanitarian aid in northern Gaza.

The situation has escalated concerns, especially amid diplomatic deadlock as Israel continuously rejects a ceasefire since the start of its relentless campaign against civilians.

According to Al Jazeera, Qatar has been intensifying efforts for a truce, seeking to halt Israel’s assaults against civilians in Gaza.

Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed al-Ansari, however, has acknowledged that Israel and Hamas are not near a deal on the Gaza truce.

“We are not near a deal, meaning that we are not seeing both sides converging on language that can resolve the current disagreement over the implementation of a deal,” said the Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson in an official statement.

The political deadlock comes amid an alarming situation due to starvation that Palestinians in Gaza have been suffering from since the start of the devastating war.

The UN Refugee Agency for Palestinians (UNWRA) has emphasized that it is the only body that responds to the humanitarian needs in Gaza.

“We are the backbone of the humanitarian response,” the agency said today, noting that no other agency is able to respond at the same scale.”

The statement comes as several countries including the US have halted financial support for the agency due to allegations that some of their staff members were colluding with Hamas.
