The North African nation’s vibrant heritage has repeatedly garnered global recognition in recent years, propelling it to the forefront of cultural tourism.

As a marker of transparency in its methodology, Insider Monkey’s report acknowledged referencing a limited pool of 15 countries for this ranking.

Notably, the rankings were determined by the frequency a nation appeared in the chosen sources, with ties broken by 2022 tourist arrival figures.

With a record-breaking surge in tourism in 2023, Morocco the report concluded that continues to enchant visitors from around the globe.

This latest report of Morocco’s unfading tourist appeal and cultural attractiveness comes in the wake of the Moroccan Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts’ announcing of a staggering 14.5 million arrivals, marking a 34% increase from the previous year.

Foreign tourists, accounting for 49% of total arrivals, witnessed a remarkable 41% surge, the ministry documented, arguing that this reflected Morocco’s growing appeal as a premier travel destination.
