Rabat – In an era where cyber threats, natural disasters, and geopolitical instability are no longer hypothetical, Spanish and French companies are seeking reliable solutions to maintain operational continuity. Morocco has become an integral part of the solution.

Morocco is steadily positioning itself as an ideal “Plan B,” according to Spanish magazine Parada Visual, offering proximity, cost efficiency, and advanced digital infrastructure. Its location makes it a natural choice for European firms seeking backup and disaster recovery solutions with minimal delay.

The country has made significant progress in building a robust digital ecosystem. Surpassing South Africa as Africa’s leading data center hub, Morocco has attracted major investments under the government’s Digital Morocco 2030 initiative.

Projects like the 386 MW AI and data center in Tetouane, developed by the US firm Iozera and powered by renewable energy, highlight the kingdom’s capacity to efficiently host large-scale operations.

Local companies, such as N+ONE Datacenters, along with partnerships between Maroc Telecom and Vodafone Business, ensure a fully connected and technologically advanced environment for European firms seeking reliable recovery services.

Cost efficiency remains a significant advantage. Moroccan disaster recovery solutions allow companies to maintain operations without the high expense of European hubs, all while benefiting from a growing pool of qualified IT and cybersecurity professionals.

Morocco’s Political stability and clear legal framework provide additional assurance. Law No.09-08 aligns national data protection standards with international regulations, including GDPR, offering foreign companies a secure and reliable environment to manage critical operations.

Beyond logistics, Morocco serves as a digital bridge between Europe, Africa, and the Americas, leveraging its position in international submarine cable networks to provide low-latency connections crucial for disaster recovery services.

From a technological and strategic perspective, Morocco is emerging as a trusted partner for European businesses seeking resilience and efficiency, offering modern infrastructure, cost advantages, legal certainty, and connectivity.
