Rabat — Paris Saint-Germain is expecting a calm January transfer window, but continues to keep an eye on Moroccan football player Ismael Saibari.
French news outlet Le Parisien said PSG is preparing for the future.
“Moroccan midfielder Ismael Saibari, who started against Zambia (3-0) on December 29 during AFCON, was offered to PSG in December. Paris did not move for the PSV player but may keep the idea in mind,” the news outlet said.
Saibari plays as a central or attacking midfielder, and also operates on the wing. He currently plays with PSV Eindhoven, with his contract running until 2029.
Recent reports suggest that several other clubs are interested in the Atlas Lion, including West Ham United, which is eyeing the player for the upcoming winter transfer window.
During the current season with PSV, he appeared in 23 games across various competitions.
In the Eredivisie, he played 16 matches, scoring nine goals and providing four assists.
In the Champions League, he appeared in six games, scoring six goals and offering two assists.
His playing time in all competitions internationally is estimated at 1,874 minutes.
Saibari is also a key fixture in Walid Regragui’s lineup for the AFCON 2025, which Morocco is currently hosting. Morocco will face Tanzania in the Round of 16 on Sunday.
