Rabat – Authorities in Sale launched a judicial investigation today after four individuals were suspected of involvement in the possession and illegal distribution of narcotic pills.
Among the four individuals are a police officer and a municipal worker.
The case came to light when local anti-gang units, working with the General Directorate for National Security Control, intercepted a vehicle in the Bouknadel area whose occupants attempted to flee.Â
The search of the car revealed 1,320 narcotic pills in the possession of the police officer driving the vehicle.
Three other individuals were arrested alongside him: a municipal employee and two men with prior criminal records.Â
Authorities are now investigating each suspect’s level of involvement and tracing the origin and intended destination of the seized substances.
Moroccan authorities have intensified their efforts to combat the illegal circulation of narcotics across the country.Â
Through coordinated operations between local police forces and national security agencies, Morocco continues to target criminal networks involved in the trafficking and distribution of controlled substances.Â
These measures aim not only to intercept drugs before they reach the streets but also to dismantle the structures behind organized crime.
