Moroccan footballer Ismail Saibari is at a decisive stage as he awaits confirmation of whether he will be fit for Morocco’s awaited match against France in the World Cup quarterfinals.
The 25-year-old will undergo an MRI scan today in Boston to determine his chances of participating in the game.
Saibari, who recently completed a high-profile move to FC Bayern Munich, is once again the center of attention among football fans, eagerly waiting to see the results.
According to reports, Saibari’s injury is not as serious as initially feared, offering hope that the midfielder could recover in time for the game.
The match is scheduled for Thursday, July 9, at 9:00 pm (GMT+1). The limited recovery time will present a significant challenge for Morocco’s medical staff, as Mohamed Ouahbi could be without one of his key players in the starting XI.
Saibari is now one of the leading scorers in the 2026 World Cup with 3 goals in the group stage against Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti. He also sent Morocco to the round of 16 with a winning penalty in the shootout against the Netherlands, making him irreplaceable for the Atlas Lions.
