Rabat – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially selected the match officials for Morocco’s upcoming back-to-back fixtures against Niger.
These refereeing assignments cover both the third and fourth rounds of the qualifiers as the teams battle for a spot in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
Somali referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan has been assigned to take charge of the opening encounter, which will take place at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca.
Hamza Haji Abdi and Ali Mahamud Mahad will serve as assistant referees.
The second match will take place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, with Ethiopian referee Tewodros Mitiku selected to officiate the contest.
Mitiku will be accompanied by an all-Ethiopian officiating crew, with compatriots Fasika Biru Yehualashet and Tigle Gizaw Belachew acting as assistant referees.
The Moroccan national team is scheduled to face Niger in Casablanca on November 13 for Matchday 3 of the qualifiers, with kickoff set for 8:00 PM local time.
The two sides will clash once again four days later in Rabat on November 17, with the Matchday 4 fixture starting at the same time.
Morocco currently sits atop their qualifying group following back-to-back victories over Gabon and Lesotho in September.
Two victories against Niger would strengthen Morocco’s position at the top of group A.
