Rabat – The five-star wellness resort Fairmont Taghazout Bay is nominated in multiple categories for the 30th Annual World Travel Awards (WTA) 2023.
The hotel, which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and is located 19 km from the center of the city of Agadir, has been nominated for Africa’s Leading New Hotel, Morocco’s Leading Beach Resort, and Morocco’s Leading Conference Hotel.
“The Fairmont Taghazout Bay’s nomination for three distinguished categories at the 2023 World Travel Awards is a testimony to this luxury hotel’s excellence and a well-deserved recognition of its dedication and commitment to guest satisfaction,” the hotel said in a press release.
The press release continued, “This nomination encourages the Fairmont Taghazout Bay to continue providing outstanding services and maintaining its leadership in the luxury hotel industry.”
Nestled at the heart of Taghazout Bay, the resort features 146 rooms, suites and villas, ranging from luxury accommodations to signature villas.
In addition, the Fairmont Taghazout Bay offers a variety of activities to suit every taste, such as golf on the Tazegzout Golf Course, as well as relaxation areas, steam rooms, saunas, and Jacuzzis.
Along with the Fairmont Taghazout Bay, 11 Moroccan-based hotels received nominations for WTA 2023, including Casabalnca’s Four Seasons Hotel and Marrakech’s Royal Mansour, among others.
Founded in 1993, the WTA acknowledges, rewards, and celebrates excellence across the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors.
Industry professionals, the media, and consumers worldwide can vote for their favorite travel brands until 30 April.
According to WTA, the nominee with the most votes in a category will be named the winner in the landmark 30th anniversary year.
WTA’s Founder Graham Cooke said: “With voting now open for our key regions of Africa, Asia, Indian Ocean and Oceania, momentum for our landmark 30th anniversary is now building. It is time for you to choose the organizations that are raising the bar of travel excellence.”
