Rabat – As the second edition of the Morocco Fashion Week approaches, Marrakech’s M Avenue, the event’s partner, has promised to offer a prestigious cultural and artistic experience for the guests and participants.

M Avenue, which is a modern shopping center that spreads over five hectares, has highlighted itself as a “privileged partner” of the Morocco Fashion Week and the “perfect destination for any cultural, artistic, gastronomic, or fashion event.”

“In one year, M Avenue has established itself as the center of cultural, artistic, and commercial activity in Marrakech … But also as a veritable place dedicated to fashion lovers,” the shopping center indicated in a press release.

M Avenue is home to “premium lifestyle” boutiques, including 60 international brands, Four Seasons Residences, and 20 restaurants offering breathtaking culinary experiences, added the statement.

Under the slogan “Where talent comes to life,” M Avenue Founder Nabil Slitine stressed his desire for the shopping center to be the “unmissable place to highlight, alongside established designers, the talents of tomorrow.”

The Morocco Fashion Week activities will include a show entirely devoted to young fashion designers, notably Moroccans. The show, which will be in the form of a competition, is set to take place on March 10 at M Avenue’s Meyden cultural center.

The Jury of the competition will feature renowned fashion figures from across the Arab world, including Zineb El Joundy, Said Mahlouf, Hany El Behairi, and Saher Okal. Besides the unequaled experience the competition offers, the winner will have the opportunity to showcase their work in a fashion show in Paris.

The competition aligns with the vision of Moroccan fashion expert Hind Joudar, who is the president of the “Silk Road and Al Andalus” association, the organizers of the Morocco Fashion Week.

“We must make Moroccan traditions know-how a source of inspiration for local and international artisans,” Joudar, who is also the founder of the Oriental Fashion Show, stressed.

The Morocco Fashion Week will take place between March 8 and 12 in Morocco’s red city, showcasing the work of more than 20 haute couture, caftan, and ready-to-wear fashion houses. The event coincides with International Women’s Day, serving as an opportunity to celebrate women fashion designers.

The fashion shows will include special exhibitions on Moroccan caftan, to honor the craftswomen on the occasion of the worldwide celebration of women, as well as highlight the caftan as a key part of Morocco’s cultural heritage.
