Rabat – Argentina’s Facundo Tello will take charge of the Morocco vs Portugal quarter-final game on Saturday, December 10.

The match will take place at 16:00 Moroccan time at the Al Thumama stadium.

Tello was in charge of a few other matches during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, including the Switzerland-Cameroon game in the group stage, e was also the referee between South Korea and Portugal.

The Atlas Lions are determined to make another step forward in the 2022 World Cup. Morocco’s national team made history to become the first Arab country and the fourth African nation to qualify for the quarter-finals of the World Cup.

Morocco’s Atlas Lions made eye-catching performances during the first stages of the World Cup. They finished the group stage unbeaten with two historic victories against Canada and Belgium and ended the game in a goalless draw with Croatia.

In the round of 16, the Atlas Lions defeated Spain 3-0 on penalties, a defeat that sent La Roja home.

Moroccan fans across the world are eager for another win to send thousands of locals across the streets to celebrate the victory against Portugal.

Moroccan fans are not the only supporters, millions of people from the Arab world and Africa have been supporting Morocco’s Atlas Lions and shed tears following the team’s qualification for the quarter-finals.

King Mohammed VI celebrated the Atlas Lions and congratulated them for their “historic” performance against Spain. The King and Crown Prince Moulay Rachid also celebrated Morocco’s win in Rabat’s streets with fans.
