Rabat – Morocco’s Royal Air Maroc (RAM) inaugurated its new VIP lounge called “Zenith” at Paris-Orly airport on Wednesday.
The lounge area covers more than 300 square meters and is inspired by Moroccan culture. The amenities include a food court, a large business corner, a 100 square meter terrace offering a panoramic view of the tarmac, and a prayer area.
RAM explained that they designed this VIP area to provide customers with pleasant and relaxing breaks.
Customer Experience Director Amine El Jouahari spoke at the opening, stating that it marked a “remarkable” upgrade to the airport. He specifically noted the alteration of staff uniforms and the redesigned cuisine among the changes.
El Jouahari added that RAM reviewed the on-board catering services and adapted them to the flight time, including improving everything that contributes to on-board comfort.
Paris-Orly airport is the third location with RAM VIP lounges after Marrakech and Casablanca, said the Europe director of the national airline company Amine El Farissi to MAP.
The Orly airport sees more than 15 flights per day to Morocco.
The new lounge can accommodate up to 100 people seated, with more services and comforts for its customers, namely Business class and Premier passengers, added El Farissi.
Customers with certain loyalty cards such as the “ambassador loyalty card,” among others will be granted access to the new VIP lounge.
According to Cirium’s “World Airline Passenger Ranking 2021,” the Moroccan carrier ranked 106th out of the 200 airlines by passenger traffic, and has climbed two places from 2019.
