Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmad Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies, emphasized the importance and strategic partnership uniting Morocco and UAE.

During his participation in the celebration of Morocco’s National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai on December 26, Al Jaber stressed that Moroccan-Emirati relations are steadily strengthening and consolidating.

He emphasized that these relations are optimistically moving forward “dominated by cooperation in several areas.”

“The United Arab Emirates have multiple and varied opportunities to forge more partnerships that benefit both countries and the Arab region as a whole,” he said.

The Emirati official expressed the thanks and gratitude of his country for the distinguished Moroccan participation in the Universal Exhibition “Expo Dubai 2020.” They heartfully welcomed the design of the Moroccan pavilion, which combined modernity and traditional elements.

The kick-off of Morocco’s National Day also marked the participation of high-profile officials from Morocco, including Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch and Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Bourita.

During his speech to the attendees of the Morocco National Day, Akhannouch said Morocco’s participation reflects its commitment under the leadership of King Mohammed VI for a more prosperous future for all.

Akhannouch expressed honor to be part of the celebration, saying it marked “exceptional moments.” He added:  “This will allow us to make all the countries of the world discover our ancestral heritage, our rich history, as well as our tourist, economic, scientific and cultural potential.”

Akhannouch also reiterated Morocco’s appreciation to the UAE and Gulf states for their unwavering support for Moroccan territorial integrity and the country’s sovereignty over Western Sahara.

Gulf countries continually express support for Morocco’s territorial integrity in different regional and international symposiums, including within the UN.

Akhannouch stressed that the Moroccan participation in this international event constitutes an opportunity to show the country’s assets and  to “breathe new life into partnerships and to consolidate relations between Arab countries and cooperation between countries of the south, in order to achieve the expected prosperity.”

The official also celebrated ties between Morocco and UAE, emphasizing Rabat’s determination to seek more cooperation and partnerships with such a strategic partner.
