Rabat – Franck Riester, France’s Delegate Minister for Foreign Trade, will travel to Morocco for a two-day visit from November 22-23.

The French Embassy in Rabat announced that Riester will hold meetings with senior Moroccan officials in the cities of Casablanca and Rabat to explore the future of the “exceptional Moroccan-French partnership.”

Riester’s visit agenda includes a meeting with the President and Vice President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises, as well as with a delegation of Moroccan business experts.

Riester will also meet with the France Business team and French Business Association to discuss economic cooperation opportunities.

Also included in the French official’s agenda is a meeting in Rabat with Morocco’s Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezour, as well as with Moroccan Delegate Minister for Investment, Mohcine Jazouli.

The meetings will all serve to assess bilateral economic relations and discuss means to boost the Moroccan-French partnership.

Data from business website Trading Economics shows that France’s exports to Morocco stood at $4.7 billion in 2020, while Morocco’s exports to France reached $6.08 billion during the same period.
