Rabat – Moroccan police arrested on Tuesday, September 21, four suspects for their alleged involvement in an intentional murder and robbery in Tetouan, northern Morocco.
A statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) said on Wednesday that the suspects are aged between 28 and 49.
The victim was a 62-year-old who worked for a currency exchange agency in the city of Tetouan.
The perpetrators, who work as security guards in a building in the city of Martil, attacked the victim with a knife.
After the homicide, a body was buried in the garden of a villa.
The suspects then seized “important sums of money” in national and foreign currencies, DGSN said.
The police were able to identify where the perpetrators buried the body after conducting an investigation.
The police arrested all of the suspects for the purpose of investigating the case further and arresting possible accomplices.
The arrests took place in a collaboration between DGSN and the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST).
