Rabat – Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a management agency with over 50 years of experience globally, announced its plans to expand its North African operation by opening a new BCG Platinion hub in Casablanca.

BCG Platinion is a part of the consulting group that focuses on digital and tech solutions to facilitate digital transformations and create new business models. BCG Platinion has offices across Europe, the US, Asia, and Africa.

The group cites the speed of digitalization in Africa as a key reason for its expansion of the digital operation, stating that Morocco and Casablanca are positioned to become regional technology centers in a press release, issued today.

The press release stresses the importance of Africa and North Africa in BCG’s strategy. “North Africa is a critical element of BCG’s global, digital expansion plan,” Amane Dannouni, a Managing Director and Partner for the Casablanca office said in the press release.

“We’re excited to bring our success to Africa,” Hamid Maher, the Head of DigitalBCG added, “using cutting-edge technology to deliver the impact that will elevate African businesses and make them a force to be reckoned with over the coming years.”

The Casablanca office will be led by Dannouni and Maher, in addition to Adham Abouzied.

BCG hopes that the branch will expand its capabilities to offer its services to more clients in the region and play a role in the digital transformation of the country and region.

BCG’s main work in Africa focuses on facilitating the digital transformation of the continent by provisioning IT solutions to its clients and researching ways in which digital tools can help the continent economically.

Their work also includes collaborating with regional organizations and authorities to improve humanitarian conditions in African countries.

BCG was founded by Bruce Henderson in 1963, as the Boston Safe Deposit and Trust Company. The company steadily expanded over the course of  50 years following its founding, and operates in over 50 countries and 90 cities.

Recently, a report concluded that digitalization is vitally important for the success of Morocco’s job market in the future, meaning that BCG’s digital expansion could prove very beneficial.
