Rabat – Palestine’s ambassador to Rabat, Jamal Choubki, has expressed his country’s gratitude for Morocco’s continued support for the Palestinian cause.
“I would like to express my thanks to Morocco, the King, the government, and the Moroccan people for their support for the Palestinian people and their firm condemnation of the Israeli aggressions,” he said on Satuday.
He added that King Mohammed VI’s order to send emergency humanitarian aid for the benefit of the Palestinian population in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reinforces the resistance of the Palestinian people to Israeli attacks.
While expressing his satisfaction with Morocco’s support, Choubki added Palestine’s holy city of Al Quds needs more support from the international community.
Emphasizing that Israeli agression will not end without dissauasive sanctions against Israel, the diplomat added that Palestinian people count on the Aab and Islamic community as well as the international community..
Israeli forces stormed the Al-Aqsa mosque during the holy month of Ramadan, without any respect for the sanctity of the place, the ambassador said.
He also recalled the heinous attacks and forced evictions of Palestinians from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem.
The ambassador said that Israel must understand that “no force can prevent the Palestinian people from realizing their rights to an independent state, with the city of Al Quds as its capital.”

Morocco continues to emphasize its role to continue to support Palestinians‘ right to legitimate rights and independence.

According to Bachelet, the situation is “triggered by threats of forced evictions of the Palestinian families; the heavy presence of Israeli Security Forces and violence around the al-Aqsa mosque during Ramadan; the severe escalation of attacks from and on Gaza.”
