Rabat – Culture and communication center Bridges announced it is now welcoming Moroccan applications for the US Professional Exchange program dedicated to promoting inclusive economic empowerment.
Funded by the US State Department, the exchange program aims to offer Moroccan entrepreneurs and social innovators the opportunity to complete a fellowship program and network with other professionals over a period of six weeks, according to a press release.
The fully-funded program equally welcomes 25-40 Moroccan owners of small and medium-sized businesses, and managers working to provide socially conscious products, Civil Society, and NGO members working to train and develop the country’s youthful workforce, and boost economic inclusivity, the statement indicates.
The statement adds that the program also extends to NGOs and Civil Society members working to build Morocco’s financial literacy and IT development in an effort to promote economic empowerment.
Individuals from university incubators, accelerator programs, business-development programs, sustainable tourism, and economic development are also invited to submit applications to the program, the press release specifies.
In addition to private sectors members, the Professional Exchange program is also open for individuals from government agencies, ministries, national policy offices, think tanks, and offices dedicated to increasing marginalized groups’ contribution to the national economy, explains the press release.
Eligible candidates for the US exchange program must be fluent English speakers and current citizens of and residing in Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, or Tunisia.
Candidates are required to have two-year experience in one of the abovementioned fields, and are currently employed, with an interest in hosting Americans in their countries as part of the program, according to the press release.
Selection criteria for the program equally include leadership skills, commitment to serving the community, teamwork, and openness, concludes the statement.
Bridges invites individuals interested in the program to apply before March 18.
