Marrakech – El Fassi, who was speaking at the opening of the 13th National Congress of Children’s Rights, also urged the international community to endeavour to end the inhuman and despicable practices inflicted on these children, which are contrary to all charters and international conventions as well as to human values.

On the other hand, the Premier said the national indicators of children’s well-being havimproved, mainly through strengthening the system of medical coverage, speeding up efforts to mitigate the mortality rate among mothers and children at birth, widespread vaccination in rural and urban areas, as well as by promoting education in rural areas and fighting drop-outs.

Initiated by the National Observatory for Children’s Rights (ONDE) under the Chairmanship of HRH Princess Lalla Meryem, this two-day meeting brings together a myriad of educational, social and economic actors as well as civil society representatives.
