The head of the government Abdelilah Benkirane met, on Wednesday in Rabat, the speaker of the Spanish congress of deputies Jesus Maria Posada Moreno.
The meeting discussed bilateral relations and issues of common interest.
Moreno highlighted, in a statement to MAP news agency after the meeting, the strategic ties between the two kingdoms.
He noted the convergence of views over means to promote bilateral relations, stressing that the deepening of mutual understanding is essential to consolidating bilateral ties.
Moreno leads an important parliamentary delegation that took part in the first Spanish-Moroccan parliamentary forum, held on Wednesday in Rabat.
