Sources close to MWN reported that the American singer Robyn Rihanna Fenty, known by her stage name Rihanna, who was scheduled to perform for the opening of the 12th Edition of the Mawazine Festival, Rhythms of the World, made her appearance on the OLM Souissi with more than an hour delay.
According to the official website of Mawazine, the show of Rihanna- one of the most popular celebrities on the social networking site Facebook with more than 68.5 million fans- was scheduled to perform on Friday, May 24 at 9:45 GMT +1 in OLM Souissi, Rabat.
As part of her DIAMONDS WORLD TOUR, the R & B and pop icon is expected to make the opening of the 12th Edition of the Mawazine.
MWN Arabic correspondent in Rabat reported that many of the fans that paid it to the nose to attend Rihanna’s show were annoyed at the delay of the opening show.
Ticket prices for the Rihana concert is fixed at MAD1,200 ($150) which is the most expensive concert of the 12th edition of the Mawazine Festival, ahead of Enrique Iglesias at MAD800 ($93).
It is worth noting that the festival organizers have not posted yet anything about Rihanna’s show, while they posted pictures of other singers who were performing on the other scenes, namely Abdelwahed Tetwani and Walid Tawfik in the Nahdah scene.
