United Nations – France on Tuesday highlighted the “appreciated” role of Morocco in peacebuilding in the Central African Republic.
“We appreciate the role of Morocco as chair of the PBC-CAR and its efforts to support the financing of actions and the Special Criminal Court,” Alexis Lamech, Deputy Permanent Representative of France to the UN, said at a debate on peacebuilding in the UN Security Council.
For the French diplomat, “these projects are concrete programs that contribute to the stabilization of the Central African Republic, decided by the Security Council in connection with the transitional authorities.”
He also said that the implementation of these programs requires follow-up and support that PBC-CAR can provide efficiently.
