Rabat – Morocco’s Ministry of Transport and Logistics has announced a new round of financial support for road transport professionals, extending the government’s efforts to cushion the impact of high global fuel prices on the sector.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the ministry confirmed that an additional installment of the exceptional direct aid program will cover the period from May 16 to May 31, 2026. Applications for the latest tranche will open on June 9 through the government’s dedicated online platform: https://mouakaba.transport.gov.ma.
The measure forms part of a broader package of support mechanisms introduced by the government to help transport operators cope with continued volatility in international oil markets and the resulting pressure on fuel costs in Morocco.

The aid targets a wide range of transport professionals, including freight operators, public and private passenger transport providers, small and large taxi drivers, mixed transport operators, coach companies, and tourism transport businesses.
Authorities said the program aims to mitigate the financial burden caused by rising fuel prices while ensuring the continuity of transport and logistics services across the country. By supporting transport operators, the government also seeks to protect consumers from supply chain disruptions and help maintain the regular flow of goods to local markets.
Since its launch, the subsidy scheme has served as a key component of Morocco’s response to global energy price fluctuations, providing direct assistance to transport professionals considered vital to the country’s economic activity and distribution networks.
The latest extension comes as fuel prices continue to be influenced by international market conditions, prompting authorities to maintain support measures for sectors most exposed to rising operating costs.
