Rabat – Moroccan midfielder Ismael Saibari is close to joining Bayern Munich, according to converging reliable reports. The PSV Eindhoven star is scheduled to undergo his medical examination shortly to finalize the transfer to the German club.
Bayern Munich have already held talks with Saibari’s representatives regarding a summer transfer. The German club’s management highly rates the midfielder and is eager to bring him to Bavaria for the upcoming season.
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the medical and all remaining paperwork will take place entirely in the United States. This unusual setup is because Saibari is currently in the country competing in the 2026 World Cup with the Moroccan national team.
Completing these logistics on American soil will allow the deal to be wrapped up quickly. Once the paperwork is finalized, Bayern Munich is expected to make the official announcement of his transfer.
“Ismaël Saibari’s medical examination to finalize his transfer to Bayern Munich will indeed take place in the United States during the World Cup. Other formalities are also expected to be completed at that time. More details coming soon,” Tavolieri wrote on X.
This allows everything to be finalized in the United States before Bayern Munich makes the official announcement of his transfer.
Bayern’s push for the midfielder follows his incredible breakout campaign in the Netherlands, where he was recently named the Eredivisie Player of the Season.
The 25-year-old player dominated the Dutch league with PSV Eindhoven, recording 15 goals and 8 assists to help secure the league title and establish himself as the most valuable player in Dutch football.
The Morocco international is expected to play a major role for Morocco during the upcoming FIFA World Cup after being selected by head coach Mohamed Ouahbi. His recent success in Europe makes him one of the key players to watch as the Atlas Lions aim for another impressive campaign on the global stage.
The Atlas Lions are in Group C for the tournament alongside Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti. Morocco will open their campaign against Brazil on June 13 in a highly anticipated match as they look to build on their historic success from the last World Cup.
