Rabat – Moroccan businessman Brahim Zniber died on Thursday in Meknes at the age of 96 following a long illness.
The deceased will be buried on Friday in Meknés after the prayer of Al-Asr.
Born in 1920 in Salé, Brahim Zniber was one of the businessmen who contributed to the socioeconomic development of the country particularly in the agricultural sector.
In 1956 he started agricultural firm Brahim Zniber with the acquisition of the domain “Aît Harzallah” in Meknes region, with an area of 740 ha.
After a long process of clearing and development of land that enabled the realization of the first tree orchard, premise of a broad development of new fields ranging from Saiss in the Agadir region through the Chaouia, the Oriental, and the Gharb, the late Zniber operated 8,300 hectares of agricultural land.
Brahim Zniber is the founder of Diana Holding group, a major player in the agribusiness industry.
After 50 years of existence, Diana Holding occupies the 7th place in the ranking of the largest private groups in Morocco, with a turnover of 3 billion dirhams and 6,500 direct jobs.
Diana Holding specializes in the areas of agriculture, olive growing, trading and distribution, bottling, poultry, services, consulting, auditing, engineering, training and entertainment.
