Agadir – Ivorian minister of culture and francophonie Maurice Kouakou Bandaman underlined that the cooperation relations between Morocco and Côte d’Ivoire are rapidly developing, noting both parties’ firm will to make culture a crucial aspect of the global development in the two states.
The Ivorian-Moroccan cooperation, marked by the implementation of 46 agreements covering the different fields, has experienced an exceptional growth over the past four years due to concerted actions by our highest authorities, said Bandaman in a speech read out on his behalf by his chief of office Konan Yves Yao, at the closing of the Agadir International Festival “Cinema and Migration”.
Yao expressed his gratitude to the world of arts in the Kingdom of Morocco for its exemplary solicitude towards all States, and particularly with regard to Côte d’Ivoire, Guest of honor of the 13th edition, organized on Nov. 15-19 under the patronage of King Mohammed VI, by the “Cultural initiative” association and the Council of the Moroccan community abroad (CCME).
Referring to the evolution of the film industry in Morocco, he said that this progress serves as a reference for African cinema in general and for Ivorian cinema in particular.
