Rabat – German footballer and Arsenal midfielder, Mesut Özil, is spending his spare time in Marrakech following Arsenal’s 4-0 win over Swansea on Saturday.
Özil took to his Facebook and Instagram accounts to share a picture of himself enjoying a day off on Sunday in Marrakech.
In the photo, the 28-year-old player is seen posing with a cobra around his neck, standing beside a Moroccan man wearing a traditional Djellaba and blowing into a flute.
Özil captioned his photo, “For all the cobra lovers out there. #dayoff #cobracharmer.”
Since it was posted, Özil’s picture has received major attention on Facebook, gaining more than 235,000 likes and over 3,431 shares.
Moroccan followers have posted their comments, welcoming Özil to Morocco and expressing their admiration for him.
