Rabat – Sources at the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs have denied rumors that Morocco’s Nassima Raji, who was injured in Istanbul attack victim, has been left paralyzed.
Amid rumors circulating on social media about the medical status of Nassima El Raji, the young Moroccan woman who suffered shrapnel wounds during the attack on the Reina nightclub in Istanbul on New Year’s Eve, sources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are reassuring the public that her treatment at the hospital is ongoing and that she is not suffering from hemiplegia.
El Raji’s family has confirmed to Hespress, that Nassima is still undergoing treatment and they are strongly denying rumors of paralysis due to bullet fragments which penetrated her skull during the attack.
The Turkish ambassador to Morocco, Adhan Barkan Oz, said in a statement quoted Moroccan news outlet Hespress that the injured Moroccans are undergoing treatment in Turkey and are in stable condition.
The ambassador issued this statement while attending the funerals of two Moroccan girls who were killed in the Istanbul attack, which were held Wednesday in El Jadida and Beni Mellal, amid strong condemnation of this terrorist act
