Casablanca – Several regions of Morocco will experience a significant drop in temperatures from Sunday through Tuesday, according to the Directorate of National Meteorology (DMN).

In a special bulletin, the Directorate is said that the temperatures ranging from -1 to -6C: Moroccan cities of Midelt, Tinghir, Azilal, Al Haouz, Boulemane, Ifrane, Jerada, Berkane, Figuig, Taourirte and Guercif will be affected by low temperatures ranging from -1 to -6C.  Highs will fluctuate between 6 and 12C.

According to the same source, low temperatures will range between -01 and 04C, with highs will fall between 09 and 16C in the following cities: Oujda, Chefchaouen, Taounat, Sefrou, Khenifra, El Hajeb, Khemisset, Khouribga, Settat, Fquih Ben Saleh, Berrchid, Rhamna, Chichaoua, Benimellal, Kelaa Sraghna, Ouarzazate, Errachidia, Taza, Ouazzane, Fes, Meknes, Moulay Yakoub, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Kenitra and Sidi Bennour.

This sharp drop in temperature is due to the progression of a northerly low. Monday is predicted to be the coldest of the three days, according to the Directorate’s report, which also noted that this cold weather could persist until Friday.
