Rabat – Morocco’s Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, presided over the graduation ceremony for two new classes of territorial administration officers on Thursday at the Royal Institute of Territorial Administration (IRAT) in Kenitra.
The ceremony marked the graduation of the 61st class of authority agents, comprising 146 graduates, and the 11th class of territorial administration inspectors, made up of 71 graduates, in the presence of senior civilian and military officials.
The event included the presentation of certificates to the top-performing graduates, followed by a military parade by the newly qualified officers.
According to the Ministry of the Interior, the ceremony reaffirmed the importance it places on human capital as a cornerstone of an effective territorial administration and a key driver of modernizing public services.
The ministry said it remains committed to continuously strengthening the training system at the IRAT to enhance the efficiency of territorial administration, promote the values of public service and good governance, and equip officials to adapt to change, anticipate future challenges, and contribute to Morocco’s development and reform agenda.
As part of this effort, the ministry is continuing to modernize and upgrade the institute’s training system through more professional approaches designed to strengthen both the knowledge and practical skills of future officials. The program also provides trainees with advanced tools in management, planning, monitoring, and strategic foresight to support the major reforms underway across the North African country.
The ministry added that the training aims to prepare officials capable of responding effectively to evolving societal needs, adapting to rapid change, anticipating emerging challenges, and delivering efficient public services that improve citizens’ quality of life while supporting Morocco’s ongoing development and modernization.
