Rabat – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has reported that US-Led coalition forces have struck Raqqa, killing at least 15 people.
The attack comes less than 48 hours after the US air strike on the Al-Shayrat airbase in western Cyria, killing six. The target this time is said to be an ISIS stronghold of Raqqa, known as the ISIS capital.
According to Reuters, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights estimates the number of people killed to be 15, including three or four children and one woman. Syrian-based media has reported an internet café being “devastated” and count as many as 20 dead and dozens injured. This has not been confirmed.
The air strike targeted Huneida, a community located 30 kilometres west of Raqqa on Saturday.
This is a developing story and will be updated as details become available.
