Rabat – The typically light evening entertainment of Ramadan TV series will feature this year two series directed by famous Moroccan director and actor Driss Roukhe.

Having directed last year’s Ramadan sitcom “L’Auberge” in Bin El Ouidane and the two seasons of “Yak Hna Jirane” and “Dima Jirane” in El Jadida, the director is keen on exploring the aesthetic and cultural richness of Morocco.

With this year’s series “Khawa”, Roukhe is inspired by the culture and the heritage of the city of Safi.

“Khawa” willo bring together some of the most well-known Moroccan actors and actresses such as Aziz Hattab, Kamal Kadimi, Dounia Boutazoute, Leila Haddioui, Badiaa Senhaji and Rafik Rachid.

The 30-episodes series will be broadcasted during Ramadan on 2M. It promises to highlight Al Aita, a traditional form of song and poetry particular to Safi and the dynamics of life in Safi, all within the genre of comedy.

Roukhe has also been working on the second season of “Dar El Ghozlane”.

This season will explore the themes of power and elections and promote the values and status of Moroccan women within society.

Broadcast on Al Aoula, the series includes Dounia Boutazout, Nora Skalli, Mohamed Choubi, Mohamed Khouyi, Meriem Zaimi, Oussama Bastaoui and others.

Viewers will soon be able to follow the daily life of their favorite characters on Al Aoula channel.
