Rabat – French company ALTEN Group inaugurated its “Embedded Systems Automotive and Aeronautics” branch at the Fez Shore Park, on Friday.

ALTEN Group, a world leader in technology engineering and consulting (ICT), is launching the second phase of its development plan. It has been present at the Fes Shore park for 3 years now with more than 200 engineers and technicians in information technology and Telecom.

The “Embedded Systems Automotive and Aeronautics” branch aims to initiate an Engineering Services Outsourcing (ESO) ecosystem in Fes by creating more than 300 engineering positions, mainly in automotive and aeronautical embedded systems.

The group is already developing projects for major companies in France and Germany, such as BMW, Volkswagen, ZF, Continental, Airbus and Safran. It is now planning to implement a competence center of 500 engineers in Fes by 2020, with the goal of reaching 1,000 full-time employees in Morocco.

Present at the inauguration of this project, was Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Minister of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy, and Mohamed Yatim, Minister of Employment and Professional Integration.

In a press release published by the company, while speaking on the occasion, Pascal Amore, member of the Executive Committee of the ALTEN Group, stressed the importance of the group’s presence in Morocco and the strategic nature of its activities initiated at the Fes Shore Park.

“ALTEN, as a global leader in engineering and technology consulting, develops design and engineering projects for major global companies in the fields of information technology, telecommunications, aeronautics, space and the automobile industry,” said Amore. He stressed the strategic choice of the group in establishing an engineering center in Fes.

Amore also emphasized the skills and the great human values ??of the Moroccan engineers as well as the very strong ties linking the French group and Morocco.

Founded in 1988 and present in more than 20 countries, ALTEN Group achieved a turnover of EUR 1.74 billion in 2016 and currently employs 24,000 people, 90 of whom are high-level engineers.
