Rabat – An unnamed Moroccan man was arrested on Sunday in Nador following the seizure of 52,300 psychotropic drugs aboard a bus coming from Düsseldorf, Germany.

According to a press release issued by the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN), police services in Nador’s port of Beni-Ensar were aided by customs officials to seize a large quantity of psychotropic drugs in the early hours of Sunday morning. The drugs were packaged in ten plastic bags and were not registered to any passenger.

The same source added that the Moroccan bus driver was arrested and placed in police custody while an investigation was started to determine the people involved.
