Rabat – Mohamed Maradji, Morocco’s official royal photographer, has posted two photos on Facebook with French president, Emmanuel Macron, who paid a two-day work and friendship visit to Morocco along with his wife, Brigitte Macron.
After presenting his book entitled, “The Three Monarchs,” to Macron on Saturday, Maradji told the president that he would like to “show him something else.”
Maradji proceeded to show Macron a collection of photos of him posing alongside all the previous French presidents, most notably, Charles de Gaulle.
The photographer said that Macron was fascinated when he saw this particular picture “Oh!! With de Gaulle. You are lucky to have approached this great president.”
“I will take a picture with you Mr. Maradji, I see that I am the only who is missing in this photo album,” was Macron’s reaction to viewing the collection.
Born in 1939, Maradji accompanied two late kings of Morocco on their royal journeys, namely King Mohammed V and King Hassan II.
The photographer is still pursuing his mission with Morocco’s current king, Mohammed VI.
