Rabat – Members of the national security of Casablanca ‘s Mohammed V International Airport arrested on Thursday afternoon a Bissau-Guinean man in possession of 4,550 g of cocaine.
The 30 old smuggler is known for his alleged involvement in psychotropic drugs trafficking.
The drugs were found in his suitcases, which was on board a flight landing from Sao Paulo’s airport, said the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) in a statement.
The defendant was placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the prosecutor, to determine the ins and outs of this case, the statement added.
This operation is part of the services of the DGSN’s mission to fight international drug trafficking, said the source.
