Oussama El-Azzouzi will be out for at least a month after suffering a neck injury, head coach Christophe Pélissier has confirmed.
The Moroccan international, on loan from Bologna where he is under contract until 2027, had only just returned from a hamstring problem that forced him to miss Auxerre’s opening Ligue 1 matches against Lorient and Nice in August.

El-Azzouzi made his debut for Auxerre as a substitute in the 72nd minute during the 1-0 win at Nantes on 30 August. But his progress has been halted once more.
“He is injured in the cervical area and will be absent until the next international break,” said Pélissier.
The 24-year-old, capped six times by Morocco, will sit out fixtures against Monaco on Saturday, Toulouse on 21 September, Paris Saint-Germain on 27 September and Lens on 4 October.
