Rabat – Tesla has officially started recruiting in Morocco, marking a new step in its expansion into Africa. The American manufacturer of electric automobiles is looking for a Country Sales & Delivery Leader to lead its operations in Morocco, a move that signals the company’s commercial launch in the country.
According to the job offer published on LinkedIn, the person chosen for this position will be responsible for developing and managing Tesla’s sales and delivery strategy in Morocco. They will oversee daily operations, build and train a local team, and make sure Tesla’s high standards for customer service are met.
The new leader will also act as Tesla’s ambassador in the country, guiding the company’s decisions to help it grow its market share and meet ambitious sales targets.
This recruitment follows Tesla’s creation of its first legal entity in Morocco earlier this year. The company established Tesla Morocco in Casablanca with a capital of around MAD 27.5. Based in the Crystal Tower at the Casablanca Marina, the new office is Tesla’s first subsidiary in North Africa and one of its first in the entire continent.
The subsidiary was set up by two Dutch-based entities, Tesla International B.V., which oversees operations across several continents, and Tesla Motors Netherlands B.V.
Tesla’s decision to enter the Moroccan market reflects the country’s growing role as a regional hub for renewable energy and electric mobility. In recent years, Morocco has become a model for green investment, with major infrastructure supporting solar energy, electric vehicles, and sustainable transport.
Tesla’s move into Morocco comes after years of growing interest in electric mobility across the country. Charging stations have already appeared in several cities, including Casablanca, Rabat, and Tangier, and the government continues to promote clean energy and sustainable transport.
While Tesla has not yet announced any manufacturing plans in Morocco, its presence in Casablanca shows that the company is preparing for a larger regional expansion.
In addition, the new recruitment shows Tesla is taking a concrete step toward making its cars and energy products available to Moroccan consumers.
Tesla previously said its new office “positions Morocco as Tesla’s strategic hub for Africa and energy innovation.” The company added that it plans to roll out energy solutions, such as solar production systems, energy storage technology, and eventually explore electricity distribution.
