Rabat – Police in the city of Rabat arrested a sub-Saharan woman for her alleged links with an irregular migration network and for her involvement in the selling of unlicensed alcoholic beverages.
A statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) said that the 46-year old suspect has been residing in Morocco illegally.
Police arrested the suspect in a house she rented in the Bouregreg neighborhood in Rabat.
Search operations resulted in the seizure of 360 liters of contraband alcoholic beverages, as we as several passports belonging to citizens from sub-Saharan countries.
Police put the suspect in custody for further investigation to determine the circumstances of the case and to arrest possible suspects involved in the irregular migration networks.
