Rabat – Moroccan journalist and editor of “Al Ousboue” weekly newspaper, Mustapha Alaoui, died today, December 28, at his home in Rabat at 83.
Al Ousboue’s editor-in-chief, Said Rihani, announced the news on social media and confirmed it in a phone call with Morocco World News.
Mustapha Alaoui is known for his work on several publications, most notably “The diaries of a journalist and three kings,” published in Arabic in 2011.
Alaoui was born in 1936 in Fez. He studied at the National School of Administration in Rabat, and worked at the administration of the Ministry of National Education, before deciding to follow a career in journalism.
The journalist worked in several newspapers over several decades. His latest notable work was his column entitled “The Lost Truth” in the weekly newspaper “Al Ousboue.”
Alaoui will be buried later today in “Achouhadae” (The martyrs) cemetery in Rabat.
