In the last 24 hours, the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region recorded 455 new cases.
Rabat – Morocco’s Ministry of Health recorded 811 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the country’s highest daily case count since the pandemic’s onset.
This brings the total number of cases registered in the country to 19,645 as of 6 p.m. on July 25.
The ministry also confirmed six more COVID-19-related fatalities in the last 24 hours. The death toll is now 305, with a mortality rate slightly above 1.55%.
The ministry also recorded 182 new COVID-19 recoveries in 24 hours. This brings the country’s total number of recoveries to 16,282, with a recovery rate of 82.88%.
Meanwhile, Morocco’s number of active cases stands at 3,058.
Approximately 1,106,568 suspected COVID-19 cases have tested negative since the virus emerged in Morocco on March 2.
Morocco’s COVID-19 cases by region
In the last 24 hours, the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region recorded 455 new cases, now representing 23.38% of all cases registered in Morocco to date.
The Casablanca-Settat region reported 185 new cases (24.67%).
The region of Fez-Meknes recorded 103 new cases to represent 12.86% of the country’s cases.
The Marrakech-Safi region recorded 31 cases in the last 24 hours to cover 16.03% of all registered cases.
Meanwhile, 15 new cases appeared in the Rabat-Sale-Kenitra region, now covering 11.02% of all of Morocco ’s cases.
Six cases emerged in the region of Draa-Tafilalet, followed by five new cases in the region of Souss Massa, to cover 3.09% and 0.57% of the country’s cases, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Beni Mellal-Khenifra region recorded four new cases (1.00%).
The region of Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab recorded four new cases as well, with a total of 0.32% of Morocco’s cases.
The Oriental region recorded two new cases in the last 24 hours, now representing 2.00% of all COVID-19 cases recorded in Morocco.
Finally, the southern region of Guelmim-Oued Noun confirmed only one new case, to cover 0.82% of Morocco’s cases.
