ONDA Publishes Form for Tourists Coming to Morocco

Rabat – Morocco’s National Office of Airports (ONDA) has announced the latest requirements for foreign tourists to enter Morocco, signaling the country’s readiness to ease its travel restrictions.

ONDA announced on its Facebook page that “All passengers, upon their arrival at a Moroccan airport, are required to present the duly completed ‘Health Passenger Form,’” which they have provided on their website.

The updated entry form — on top of the usual details such a name, flight information, and details of where the traveler will be staying — asks for a slew of COVID-19 related questions. ONDA now asks travellers if in the last 14 days they have experienced a respiratory infection with a fever, whether they might have been in contact with an infected person, and whether the traveller has “ worked or stayed in a hospital or laboratory” with confirmed COVID-19 cases.

Travellers must also indicate which countries they have visited in the last 30 days.

As for Moroccans Residing Abroad (MREs) and Moroccan nationals who have been stranded abroad during the pandemic and wish to return back home, the Moroccan Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) set repatriation conditions for their return in early May.

Conditions for return include a ten-day quarantine in one of six government-approved hotels, and a negative PCR test less than 48 hours old.

At the moment, Morocco has suspended travel to and from 54 countries, although that might soon change as the Moroccan government is reviewing the country’s current border restrictions.
