Rabat – As Morocco’s epidemiological situation appears to be improving, local health authorities have registered 3.841 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
6,815 recoveries and 76 deaths have been recorded in the same period,, according to data made available by the Ministry of Health.
The number of COVID-19 tests has slightly dropped compared to the previous few days, with about 25,236 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
Both infection and death cases are lower than those of yesterday’s report.
There are 2,484 people in either severe or critical conditions right now, of whom 260 were admitted in the last 24 hours.
Currently, 1,319 people are under some form of artificial respiration, with 61 requiring intubation, while 1,333 are in stable conditions with non-invasive forms of artificial respiration. These numbers have remained unchanged since yesterday.
Around 49.2% of Morocco’s intensive care unit’s beds are occupied at the moment, a rate that is on the decline from this past week’s report projections.
The Casablanca-Settat region once again recorded the highest COVID-19 cases in Morocco, reporting 1,001 new cases and 12 deaths in the past 24 hours. The second most impacted region was Rabat-Sale-Kenitra, with 631 new cases and 11 deaths.
Since the start of the pandemic, Morocco has recorded a total of 853,373 cases, 12,176 deaths, and 780,434 recoveries, leaving 60,502 active cases in the country.
Morocco’s national vaccination campaign has been progressing well. The country is now home to, 18 226 896 first dose-vaccinated and 14 364 557 fully vaccinated people.
