Denver- Royal Air Maroc is relaunching its Casablanca-Dubai line for the first time in nearly 18 years.
Officials from the airlines reported flights were scheduled to begin in December of next year. This will make the airlines the second air carrier to travel the route, alongside Emirates airlines. According to Royal Air Maroc, roundtrip tickets to Dubai will start at approximately $500 for economy class.
The launch of the new flights adds another destination in the Gulf for Royal Air Maroc. Currently, the airline operates flights to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. Royal Air Maroc initially suspended its flights to Dubai in 2003. Since then, an initiative failed to restart the route in 2015, leaving only Emirates airlines as the sole operator of the route.
Within recent months, Royal Air Maroc announced the reopening of several important flight routes. In late July, the company reported it would begin conducting direct flights to France, Belgium, as well as the Netherlands. The flights were part of a plan to introduce 1,400 new flights to Europe, in response to increasing customer demands.
Over the company’s 64 year history, Royal Air Maroc has steadily expanded to provide travel routes to several major international hubs. Current routes available include destinations within Morocco, the Maghreb, Africa, South America, Europe, North America, and East Asia.
