Morocco’s national situation has continued to slowly improve in recent days, as Rabat ramps up its efforts to secure the country’s health situation. On Wednesday, the country’s health ministry reported Morocco’s fully vaccinated population had surpassed 16 million individuals. Despite the continued dangers of the pandemic, Rabat’s efforts have gone a long way to cementing Morocco as a continental leader in itsCOVID-19 response.
Earlier this month, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported Morocco was just one of three African countries to reach the WHO’s September goal set earlier in the year. The goal stipulated vaccinating at least 10% of the country’s most vulnerable population by the end of September. In addition to Morocco, South Africa and Tunisia were reported to have reached the goal within the deadline.
