Rabat – The national carrier Royal Air Maroc has published a series of updates on conditions to access Morocco amid concerns due to the new COVID variant described as “dangerous.”
People wishing to travel to Morocco from list A countries have to fill in a health form they can download online before boarding their flight.
The form should be signed and include the passenger’s address and two telephone numbers where authorities can locate them if necessary during the first 10 days following their arrival.

Additionally, passengers from countries on this list need to show a certificate attesting that they are fully vaccinated against COVID at least two weeks after the administration of the second or the first dose of vaccine.
The conditions are applicable to anyone aged 12 years old and over, while children aged between six and 11 must present a negative PCR test, Royal Air Maroc added.
Children under the age of six are exempted from all travel conditions.
Passengers coming from list B countries have to fill out a health form and sign it. The form should also include the passenger’s address, two phone numbers allowing authorities to locate the passenger if necessary within 10 days of arrival in Morocco.
They should also provide a certificate attesting that they are fully vaccinated against COVID at least two weeks after the administration of the second dose or the first dose.
Travelers from these countries also have to display a negative PCR certificate not exceeding 48 hours at the time of boarding, Royal Air Maroc said, adding that the .conditions are applicable to anyone aged 12 and over.
Children aged between 6 and 11 must present a negative PCR text, while children under the age of six are exempted from all conditions.
Royal Air Maroc also announced this week setting up List C, which includes the countries from which passengers are denied access to Moroccan territory.
People coming both directly from List C countries or transiting from another country will be denied access to Morocco, Royal Air Maroc warned.
The update is part of Morocco’s preventive measures to both limit the spread of COVID-19 cases and avoid the outbreak of the new concerning variant.

Recently, Morocco denied access to passengers from several countries, including South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, among others, as part of its efforts to avoid deterioration of its COVID situation after making remarkable improvements in recent weeks.
