Expo 2020 Dubai: Augmented Reality Game at Morocco’s Pavilion

Rabat – Morocco’s pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai is now offering its visitors an innovative and thrilling augmented reality game to explore tourist hidden gems in Morocco.

The game, created in partnership with the Moroccan Agency for Tourism Development (SMIT), dovetails with the theme that Morocco has chosen for the universal exhibition: “Legacies for the future, from inspiring origins to sustainable progress.”

“The Sapiens Legacy,” as the game is called, is a WebApp available on smartphones and allows the visitors of the Morocco Pavilion to experience a live like adventure combining treasure hunt and puzzle solving game.

Visitors interact with virtual characters and objects in the real world and discover the hidden side of the Moroccan Pavilion.

The augmented reality experience aims to enrich the visitor experience in each room of the Pavilion and thus introduce Morocco’s tourist attractions in a fun way by including different technical features.

The web app provides visitors with an option to take selfies and share them on social media to immortalize the experience.

The game is considered as a fun and educational activity for adults and children.

Since the inauguration of the Morocco Pavilion, “The Sapiens legacy” has already been a great success among visitors, attracting more than 10,000 players of all nationalities.

The Morocco pavilion at the global exhibition Expo 2020 Dubai was officially opened on October 30.

Morocco’s pavilion is located near the United Arab Emirates (UAE) pavilion and not far from Al Wasl Plaza, the central monument of Expo 2020 Dubai.

The Moroccan delegation at the pavilion aims to promote a “new Morocco that stands out for its innovations, attractiveness, and cultural influence,” said the Minister of Industry and Commerce Ryad Mezzour at the opening ceremony of the pavilion.
