Fez – Odocteur, a digital platform for booking appointments online with specialists, general practitioners, and health professionals, provides its services to Morocco’s patients and health practitioners.
Odocteur is an international digital platform catering to different health practices that bring together the sector’s distinct stakeholders service on December 9 launched its 24/7 appointment scheduling service in Morocco.
Odocteur provides a database of competent doctors who meet specific requirements of accreditation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The digital platform gives access to a wide range of doctors depending on the city, availability, and field of specialty.
The around-the-clock service intends to find the doctor and the specialty most suited to the patient’s needs, book the appointment, and locate nearby pharmacies and on-call laboratories.
More importantly, it will aim to facilitate access to care without geographical limitations, aspiring to reach the country’s most remote areas.
“To remedy the difficulties related to certain pathologies requiring urgent aid, Odocteur offers the possibility of calling your doctor immediately,” stated an Odocteur press release.
The digital platform’s services target both health practitioners and patients.
For health practitioners, the platform brings a 100% digitalized platform that will help doctors to better manage their schedules.
For patients, Odocteur provides its Moroccan users with the opportunity to choose their doctors from vast areas of expertise ranging from general medicine to alternative medicine, offering them the chance to explore all therapeutic options.

How does the digital platform work?
The platform works in two different directions: one intended for health professionals and the other for patients.
Health professionals are required to fill in the registration form with personal details, including their name, their profession, their field of specialty, and their office address. Afterward, they add extra information to their profile such as spoken languages, certificates, and qualifications. By going through this simple and easy process, they gain membership to the platform and can manage their appointment scheduling.
Patients, on the other hand, have much simpler options. They can either access the available health practitioners and doctors without having to register at the platform or go through a similar process as health practitioners and create a permanent account.
The platform offers an advantage to the field of health consultation. The patients are able to have online consultations wherever they are. This goes beyond the conventional consultation procedures, in which the patient had to physically be present at the doctor’s office.
On this matter, Odocteur reassured its users that it adopts the latest and strictest standards of confidentiality and security, protecting video consultations against potential hacking under the authorization of the National Commission for Personal Data Protection (CNDP).
The digital platform’s easy access to information will facilitate Moroccans’ search for health-related advice in general, providing them with the opportunity to directly seek professionals’ help and consultation.
As Odocteur’s press release suggests, this should also have a positive impact on the Moroccan population living in rural areas, as the platform will connect them with competent doctors in various fields of specialty.
