Rabat – As part of Morocco’s reopening of its airspace after almost three months of COVID-induced flight ban, Moroccan national carrier Royal Air Maroc has announced a new set of travel updates for its flights from and to Morocco.
For conditions of departure from Morocco, starting February 7, passengers over 18 wishing to travel from a Moroccan airport need to introduce a valid vaccine pass, confirming the receipt of the booster dose at check-in.
Royal Maroc added that the conditions also include the presentation of a valid vaccine confirming receipt of the second dose or single dose of the Johnson Janssen vaccine less than four months ago.
“Passenger vaccinated with only the 2nd dose or single dose of J&J vaccine more than 4 months and having contracted the COVID-19 less than 28 days ago, must present at check-in” a vaccine pass, a PCR or rapid antigenic test result document that the person was infected, and a medical certificate of recovery or a negative PCR test.
In addition, passengers need to also present a certificate of recovery or a negative PCR test.
Meanwhile, Royal Air Maroc added, “Children from 12 years old and under the age of 18 must present at check-in a vaccine pass confirming receipt of the 2nd dose.”
These measures are part of the company’s travel requirements after Morocco decided to reopen borders after a few months of closure.
The company also introduced a set of other measures for passengers wishing to enter the country.
For those with plans of traveling to Morocco, anyone aged 18 and over should present a vaccination pass, a negative PCR test taken less than 48 hours before departure.
The passengers should also print, fill in, and sign a health form that can be downloaded from this website.
