Rabat – Air Nostrum has announced summer flights that will link several Moroccan cities and the Spanish city of Malaga.

Air Nostrum’s program will offer flights connecting Malaga with  Moroccan destinations including Tetouan, Nador, Tangier, and Casablanca.

The flights will begin operations from June 1 and will continue services until October 29.

The company emphasized that the flights to Tetouan and Nador are new to its program.

“So from Malaga-Costa del Sol there will be ten weekly frequencies with the four Moroccan airports,” the company emphasized.

In addition to Malaga, Air Nostrum will also link Nador with Mallorca and Alicante airports from July 22. The air services to the destinations will continue until September 4.

Morocco reopened borders on February 7 after almost three months of closure due to a resurgence in COVID-19 cases, especially the emergence of the Omicron variant.

As tourists put Morocco back on their list of countries to visit, the reopening of borders is set to help in reviving the country’s tourism industry, which suffered a severe hit  due to the closure of borders.

To date, Morocco has reported a total of 1,158,669 COVID-19 cases, including 1,13,954 recoveries and 15,881 deaths.

About 23,168,448 people have received the first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines, while recipients of the booster dose have reached 5,446,888 in the North African country.
