Rabat – The global supplier of high-tech aesthetic devices, Alma Lasers, has announced the creation of a Moroccan subsidiary, Alma Maroc.

Alma Maroc will extend product offering in Morocco’s capital Rabat, and metropolitan Casablanca, according to a company press release.

The company will hold an exposition tomorrow, March 10, in Rabat to showcase its technology offerings. Medical and beauty professionals will also attend the event.

Alma Lasers’ products include light-based, laser radiofrequency, and ultrasound products with product portfolios for aesthetic and medical applications. The company has 20 years of expertise in medical and aesthetic device manufacturing.

The medical and cosmetic electronic device industry is composed of three segments: aesthetic, surgical, and energy-based devices for home use.

Headquartered in Illinois, US, Alma Lasers’ technologies in high-end aesthetic devices have ranked among the top five worldwide.

Alma Lasters has a market foothold spanning three continents, with subsidiaries in 90 countries.

The company holds a staggering 15% of the global market for high-end aesthetic devices, with annual revenues reaching about $100 million.

Founded in 1999 by a health professional, the company’s major development center is located in Caesarea, Israel.

In 2013, a Chinese pharmaceutical group, Fosun Pharmaceutical Group, acquired a 95.6% stake in Alma Lasers for $240 million.

Morocco’s cosmetic industry is expected to grow to $1.93 billion by 2025. The significant growth is due to increasing purchasing power and rising demand for high-end cosmetic products.

Adding to the rising purchasing power, Morocco’s increasingly social media-influenced youth is expected to play a major role in the growth of the industry.

Demand for personal care products is also expected to bolster as the industry continues to welcome male consumers who have moved away from traditional views seeing the cosmetic industry as exclusively for women.
